Piggy privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

Piggy is a personal expense-tracking app. This page explains what data it collects, what it's used for, and what rights you have over it.

What data is collected

No location, contacts, photos, or any data you haven't entered yourself are collected.

What it's used for

Exclusively to run the app: showing you your transactions, computing your summaries and dashboards, and generating the Excel export you request. It's never used for advertising, and no profiles are built.

Who it's shared with

We never sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. There are no third-party trackers or analytics inside the app.

Security

Connections between the app and the server are encrypted (HTTPS). If you turn on fingerprint or face lock, your phone's operating system handles the biometrics — it never leaves your device or reaches our servers. We keep encrypted database backups with a maximum retention of 30 days, used only for disaster recovery.

How long your data is kept

For as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all your data is erased immediately and permanently (unless it was already part of an earlier encrypted backup, which expires on its own within 30 days at most).

Your rights

Minors

Piggy is not directed at minors.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this same page will be updated with the new date.
